The client is one of the largest FMCG Distributors in Saudi Arabia. The company specializes in distribution and logistics of various types of consumer products. The company has huge warehouses and a workload that comes up to 5,000 pallets per day.
Due to a very specific work with logistics, the client had a challenging palletizing due to shipping number growth. Manual warehouse control caused human errors, so a new solution was needed. The number of employees grew as well, while the number of orders to ship evolved.
That’s why the company needed accurate employee performance and KPI control. SAP solution could resolve these issues, that’s why the client reached out to MD Cloud team to implement the solution on-site.
After the implementation of a SAPEWM decentralized system, the client enhanced warehouse management and automation (by SSI SCHÄFER standards) significantly due to Robotic Palletizing System, Cross-Docking, and Yard Management. Labor and resources management became easier, and employee control was enhanced up to 2 times. Logistics outsourcing (3PL) became better due to support and development of a Ramp-Up / Go-Live.
